OSNews Jobs Database
RSS

The OSNews Jobs Database (Jobs.OSNews) is intended to connect OSNews readers, who tend to be technical, with OS and technology related jobs. Currently, the job engine is in its infancy; if it's successful, we will expand it.

Jobs.OSNews is not only for commercial jobs, it's also for the entire open source community. Have an open source project? Need some additional programmers? Beta Testers? Need documentation or translation for your internationalization effort? All of those positions have a home here. You can post your job here whether you need someone to help you hack together a new music player for Linux or a kernel programmer for a commercial company. Whatever the need, as long as it's related to the technology in which our readers are interested, Jobs.OSNews will host it.

We recognize that there are other tools out there that can accomplish the same things we're trying to accomplish here, but most of them are either expensive, overwhelming, or track open positions as an afterthought. Sites like SourceForge.net are fantastic for managing and hosting open source projects and bug tracking, but we believe a site like this is much easier to use when it comes to putting technological people in touch with jobs and open source positions.

This website is designed for technical people, and therefore, was designed for cutting edge browsers. This site has been tested and optimized for the following browsers (and all later versions): Firefox 2, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Safari 2, Opera 9, and Camino 1.03. Full compatibility testing on *nix-only browsers is forthcoming, but they should all work. Javascript and cookies are required for full function of this site. Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) must be supported for the complete site experience. This site also makes use of transparent PNG files which are not supported in MSIE6 and earlier.
